This handle set has the metal top & metal bottom style as pictured. This same set of the handles from this same faucet model came with half metal & half plastic also. So this is the better product!

The handles are heavy duty they weigh around 1 1/4 pounds. The $8.00 shipping cost is because they will be a 2 pound ship.
